The flag of New York is displayed boldly on this grunge-texture flag license plate. The New York coat of arms is composed of a variety of elements. The center shield shows two ships representing the commerce and trade of the state. In the background are mountains with a rising sun. On either side of the shield are two goddesses. Liberty is on the left with her foot on a crown representing freedom from the British monarchy. Justice, on the right, is blindfolded for impartiality while holding scales for fairness and the sword of justice. The state motto, "Excelsior" is Latin for "superior" or more commonly translated, "ever upward." Above the shield is an eagle resting on a globe of the world. If you want to show off the New York state flag then this is the perfect license plate for you.
