There is an elk and a moose supporting a shield with a man standing on a peninsula with his hand raise in peace and a gun representing the fight of the frontiersmen. The eagle represents the the United States and above the eagle is the U.S. motto, "E Pluribus Unum" ("out of many one.") On the shield is the word, "Tuebor" meaning "I will defend."
