The flag of Illinois is displayed boldly on this grunge-texture license plate. Like many of the the state flag license plates this one also has the state seal in the center. The seal consists of an eagle perched on a rock bearing two dates, one the year Illinois became a state and the second the date the current seal was adopted. This is actually the third seal design for the state of Illinois but we guess they like this one because it hasn't changed since 1868! The state motto that the eagle holds in its mouth reads, "State Sovereignty, National Union." The border of the seal reads, "Seal of the State of Illinois" and the date Illinois became a state. This rustic looking plate will look great on the front of your vehicle or on your wall.
