This yellow background New York license plate design is famous for appearing in the 1984 Ghostbusters movie. This tag design was shown on the back of the 1959 Cadillac Hearse.
Now you can order this iconic license plate with your choice of custom text! Enter your personalized message and choose either, "New York" for the bottom text or, "NY Historical." 
The bottom "New York" text was used on the official license plate issued from 1973 - 1986. The "NY Historical" text option is used on newer plates made for antique/historical vehicles and is a New York specialty plate. Please note that our license plates are "novelty plates" and not intended to replace the state issued tags.

Remember less is more! If you put too many characters on your plate it won't look authentic. We recommend a max of 8 characters.
