Use the ~ (tilde key) to insert the NY state silhouette. To find the tilde key on a phone, navigate to the numbers keyboard. On a computer, it's typically located to the left of the number 1 key. This plate looks best with a max of 8 characters (including the NY state silhouette).

The older "blue falls" New York license plate also known as the "Empire State" plate was issued from 2001 to 2010 and was then superseded by the yellow/blue license plate. It features Niagra falls to the top left with mountains in the middle and an outline of New York City to the right. The original state license plates were embossed. Ours are flat metal.
