This North Carolina state flag license plate is done in a beautiful Americana/aged style texture. The NC flag consists of 2 equal-sized white and red bars with a blue section to the left with an "N" and a "C" split with a white star in between. Above and below on gold scrolls are the dates "May 20th, 1775," and "April 12th, 1776."
May 20th, 1775 is the date for the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence. Some claim this was the first declaration of independence in the American colonies.
April 12th, 1776 is the date for the Halifax Resolves. The Resolves were the first official action declaring independence in the American colonies.
