Custom Order: 2k+ Tennessee Highway Patrol License Plates

Just completed a special commemorative bulk plate order for the Tennessee Highway Patrol. This design highlights the 250th Anniversary of America. It features the text, "250" and "USA." On the left side of the plate is the THP badge. All text was embossed, as well as the badge and a bevel rim emboss. 

This order is unique in that it is our first ever UV printed batch! We just started offering UV printing as an option for license plates. This method of production is more fade resistant than standard dye sub products. UV tags have an outdoor service life of 4+ years! That is over twice as long as the service life of a dye sub license plate (18-24 months for those). Of course those are numbers for outdoors. For either method of production, the indoor service life is indefinite. The primary culprit for the short outdoor service life is UV rays from the sun. 

The tradeoff with UV printed tags is that they do not have a high gloss finish. Notice in this next picture the sheen / reflecting light on the dye sub tag (closer to the camera) versus the UV tag. The UV tags have more of a matte finish.

The customer ordered 2,000 of the UV printed tags, and 300 of our standard dye sublimation tags. This pallet is quite heavy! We package our tags in small boxes for ease of transport.
